  • First PAC meeting of the year @ 8:30am in the library

Welcome Back to Myrtle Philip Community School!

We're excited to welcome our students and families back to another fantastic school year. The first day of school is just around the corner, and we have some important details to share:

 

Date: September 5th, 2023

School Hours:

  • School begins at 8:30 AM
  • School ends at 9:30 AM

Student Arrival:

  • Returning students will report directly to their last year's teacher's classroom.
  • New students, please gather in the library where you will be assigned to your classes for the week.

Kindergarten Gradual Entry:

  • Kindergarten students will not begin their gradual entry until Wednesday, September 6th. This will allow our youngest learners a smooth transition into their new school environment.

Parking and Dogs on School Property Protocols:

  • Please remember to adhere to our parking protocols to ensure a safe and organized drop-off and pick-up process for everyone.
  • We welcome dogs on school property but kindly request that they be kept on a leash at all times. This helps maintain a safe and respectful environment for all members of our school community.
Hot Lunch
  • Online ordering will OPEN on Monday September 11th (flyer with information and menu will be sent out on this date)
  • Online ordering will CLOSE on Friday September 15th
  • Hot Lunch orders till START on Tuesday September 19th and go until Thursday December 14th
 

We are thrilled to embark on this new academic journey with our students. Each year at Myrtle Philip Community School brings fresh opportunities for growth, learning, and success.

As we begin this school year, we want to extend a warm welcome to all our students, both new and returning. We are committed to providing a safe, supportive, and enriching environment where every child can thrive.

!!PARKING!!
Dropping off and picking up our children from school can be a stressful time. It is important that we make sure that they are getting to where they need to go safely. Here are the following parking guidelines for drop off and pick up. 
  1. When dropping off or picking up in the bus loop parents must remain IN THEIR CARS at all times. This means no helping little ones with seatbelts, backpacks, or walking them to their classrooms. It is integral for safety that while in the bus loop the driver is always in the vehicle and behind the wheel. 
  2. Parking in the bus loop is also prohibited. This is a quick drop off or pick up area. If you need to park please continue to the parking lot to do so. 
  3. Children are walking through the parking lot all the time, please slow down to ensure safety.
